【摘要】:ThisqualityfocusedStandardestablishesin-processandfinalinspectionrequirementsforfastenerproductsaswellasareceivinginspectionplanforfastenerpurchasers.TheStandardidentifiesfourcategories,recognizingthatfastenerusershavewidelyvaryingrequirements.Inthepreparationofthisstandarditwasrecognizedthatitsfunctionmustenableittobeapartofthevariousregimensinusetodaythatattaincertainqualitylevelsofproducts.Thisstandardwaswrittentoencompassframeworksthatenabletheusertopinpointwhichapproachtheywishtouseinmeetingtheirownobjectives.ThisstandardplacesaC=0expectationsonthesampleplansshownherein,andthesamplesizesaresmallerforthatreason.Howeveritshouldberecognizedthatzerononconformitiesinasamplingdoesnotnecessarilymeanthatthepopulationwasentirelyfreeofdefects.ThisstandardrecognizesthatsomewellestablishedstandardsmaycontinuetouseC=1orhigheracceptancenumbers,andthattheirsamplesizesarehigherasaresult.Whentheconsumerpreferstousethoseplansthatconstitutetheirrequirements,theirplanscansupersedethesamplesizesherein.HoweverthequalityexpectationofC=0isstillrequired.Statisticalprocesscontrolandothervariationloweringmeasurescansignificantlyreducethenumberofnonconformitiesinthepopulationthatmaybeproduced,butitshouldbenotedthatstatisticalindicesonlyimplythequalitylevelproduced,andimproperlyappliedstatisticaltreatmentswillimplythepresenceofnonconformitiesthatarenotpresent,ormisssomedeficienciesaltogether.Theclosestthatonecanapproachthezeropopulationdeficienciesstateisin100%partperpartexamination,butagaincautionmustbeexercised.Thegoalofzeroherecanbeintractableand-thecomplexityofresourcesrequired,-thelimitationsoftheavailableequipmentforeachverifiedcharacteristic,-thestringencyofcontrolsrequired,willonlybeabletodemonstratequalityonapartspermillionbasis,andnotnecessarilyanyassuranceofzerodeficiencies.
