【摘要】:Thisstandardisapplicabletounshieldsedtunnelboringmachines,TBM's,androdlessshaftboringmachines,SBM's,andtheirtowedorattachedback-upequipmentfordrivingtunnelsorshaftsinrockwherethewholeareaisexcavatedinoneormorestepsbymechanicalmeans.Itspecifiesessentialsafetyrequirementsforthedesign,constructionandmaintenanceofsuchmachineswhenusedinnon-explosiveatmospheretogetherwiththemethodsofverification.Thestandardspecifiesmonitoringforhazardousatmosphere.ForTBM'sandSBM'swhicharetobeusedcontinuouslyinexplosiveatmosphere,additionalrelevantstandardsalsoapply.ThisEuropeanStandarddealswithallsignificanthazardspertinenttounshieldedtunnelboringmachinesandrodlessshaftboringmachinesforrock,whentheyareusedasintendedandundertheconditionsforeseenbythemanufacturer(seeclause4).ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestheappropriatetechnicalmeasurestoeliminateorreducerisksarisingfromthesignificanthazards.
